The foodsystem is broke. A third of the world is obese, another third suffers from a lack of food. Food accounts for 1/3 of total global emission. 75% of the habitant land is used for agriculture and of this 75%, the far majority is used for cattle to graze and to grow their feed. Cattle are the main cause for deforestation and the loss of biodiversity.
We need to reduce our carbon use. It is as simple as that if we want to keep are planet liveable. And if not for you, be less greedy and do it for the ones affected today and the generations to come. Climate change is already felt and this is only the start. ‘Unfortunately’, it is always the ones who were least responsible for causing it, who are impacted the worst. We are so stuck and reluctant to change. We have become slaves of a system that is all about money and consumption. We want everybody to change, except ourselves. If we continue as today, it is estimated that the impact of climate change will half our wealth in 2100. Money talks, this should motive us to do something.
We need to rethink how we produce and what we consume. This is what I decided to do in 2019 and I recently decided to share you my experiences on what I have learned on the way.
